  • 0.5 to 1 ounces Heavy Cream or Half-and-Half Dairy-free options include oat or coconut cream.
  • Ice Fresh, clear ice cubes Essential for keeping drink cold.
For the Garnish
  • 1 dollop Whipped Cream For topping.
  • 1 Maraschino Cherry Classic garnish.
  • 1 Orange Twist For brightening the drink.
  • 1 Vanilla Bean Optional for presentation.

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Chill a highball or Collins glass in the freezer for 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. Remove the glass from the freezer and fill it with fresh, clear ice cubes.
  3. Measure and pour 1.5 to 2 ounces of bourbon over the ice.
  4. Add 0.75 to 1 ounce of vanilla syrup and stir gently.
  5. Pour in 0.5 to 1 ounce of heavy cream or half-and-half gently.
  6. Top with 4 to 6 ounces of club soda or seltzer, pouring against the side of the glass.
  7. Stir gently with a bar spoon, preserving the carbonation.
  8. Taste your creation and adjust sweetness or creaminess if desired.
  9. Garnish with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry, or add an orange twist.
