  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese Freshly grated is preferred

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with unsalted butter or olive oil.
  2. Slice sweet onions into rings and arrange them evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  3. Drizzle melted butter over the onion rings and sprinkle garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper over them.
  4. Layer shredded cheddar, Monterey Jack, and grated Parmesan cheese over the seasoned onions.
  5. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Allow the dish to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
