Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Prepare a Bain-Marie by filling a small pot with 1/2 cup of water and boiling it over medium heat. Place a large heatproof bowl on top.
  2. Melt the unsalted butter and regular marshmallows in the bowl over the boiling water, whisking continuously for 2-4 minutes until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the salt and a few drops of red food coloring until evenly mixed.
  4. In a separate bowl, add the Rice Bubbles and pour the warm marshmallow mixture over them, stirring quickly to coat.
  5. Lightly oil your hands and shape the mixture into oval forms resembling brains, creating a bumpy texture.
  6. Use a toothpick dipped in red food coloring to draw veins on each treat for decoration.
  7. Allow to cool completely on a baking sheet and then store in an airtight container.
