Method
 

Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the large egg yolk with the Wilton red icing color until vibrant; set aside.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to 1/4 inch thick and cut out six hand shapes.
  4. Apply the egg yolk mixture to the fingertips of the hand shapes.
  5. Bake the Crawling Hands for about 15 minutes until golden brown; let cool on a wire rack.
  6. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat; stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes.
