  • 2 medium Green Onions white and green parts separated
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Flakes adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds for garnish

  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce or coconut aminos for gluten-free
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha Sauce adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Honey or brown sugar for vegan

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by heating 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat for about 1 minute until shimmering.
  2. Add 1 thinly sliced onion to the pan and sauté for about 3 minutes until soft and translucent.
  3. Introduce 1 pound of ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula and browning for about 5–6 minutes.
  4. Stir in 3 cloves of finely chopped garlic and the white parts of 2 green onions for an additional 30 seconds.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of sriracha, 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of honey, and chili flakes, then pour over the beef.
  6. Continue cooking for an additional 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Remove from heat and serve over jasmine rice or egg noodles, garnished with the green tops of green onions and sesame seeds.
