Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking sheet with butter or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, and egg. Mix until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Sift together to remove lumps.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in the slivered almonds until evenly distributed.
  6. Scoop the dough into small balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about an inch apart.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes until lightly golden and puffed up.
  8. Allow to cool on a wire rack for about 10 minutes and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
