Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by cutting the chicken into bite-sized pieces and season them generously with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken pieces and sear for about 5-7 minutes.
  3. In the same skillet, add more butter if necessary, add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  4. Add minced garlic to the skillet, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of flour over the onion and garlic mixture, cooking for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream.
  6. Once the sauce has thickened, add Italian herbs, paprika, salt, and black pepper to taste.
  7. Return the seared chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce, and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  8. While the chicken simmers, prepare the rice according to package instructions.
