  • 1 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes Optional
  • 1 cup Fresh Basil (chopped) Can substitute parsley or spinach

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by slicing the chicken breasts horizontally to create four even cutlets. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken cutlets and sear for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Return the skillet to medium heat, lay the cooked chicken back in, top with mozzarella, and cover to melt for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Remove chicken and sauté minced garlic in the same skillet for about 30 seconds, watching for a fragrant aroma.
  5. Deglaze the pan with chicken broth, then stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and seasonings. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Stir in chopped fresh basil, return the chicken to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Serve the Mozzarella Chicken over pasta, rice, or crusty bread, garnished with fresh basil or Parmesan.
