  • 2 cups Zucchini Salt and drain before use
  • 1 cup Groats Pre-cook before adding
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes Drain well
  • 1 medium Onion Finely diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano Dried
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil Add near end of baking
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Choose your favorite
For Serving
  • 1 large Green Salad Crisp salad
  • 1 loaf Crusty Bread Warm

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather all ingredients and equipment.
  2. In your preheated skillet, add olive oil and ground turkey. Cook for 8-10 minutes until browned.
  3. Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for another 2 minutes until onions are translucent.
  4. Stir in salted and drained zucchini slices. Cook for 3-4 minutes until zucchini softens slightly.
  5. Mix in pre-cooked groats, drained diced tomatoes, oregano, paprika, and half of the shredded cheese. Stir until combined.
  6. Spread the turkey and vegetable mixture into a greased 9x13 baking dish. Top with remaining cheese.
  7. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Cool for a few minutes before serving with green salad or crusty bread.
