Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the vegetables: Wash one medium zucchini under cool water and slice into ¼-inch rounds. Clean about 8 ounces of mushrooms and slice them evenly. Mince 2 cloves of garlic finely.
  2. Heat the skillet: In a large skillet, pour in 2 tablespoons of olive oil and heat over medium-high heat for about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Sauté the mushrooms: Add sliced mushrooms in a single layer, cooking undisturbed for 3-4 minutes. Stir gently and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add zucchini and garlic: Stir in sliced zucchini and minced garlic, cooking for about 5-6 minutes.
  5. Season and garnish: Once the zucchini is cooked, season with salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper if desired. Finish with fresh herbs.
