Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare the middle rack.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine Frank’s Red Hot, dark brown sugar, garlic powder, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and a splash of water. Heat over medium until sugar dissolves (3-4 minutes).
  3. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper on both sides, then dredge in corn starch, ensuring full coating.
  4. In a deep skillet, add enough oil to cover the bottom (1/4 inch deep) and heat over medium. Fry chicken thighs for 3-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Pour prepared sauce over cooked chicken in the skillet and stir to coat. Cook for an additional minute.
  6. Transfer skillet to the oven and bake uncovered for 5-8 minutes to thicken the sauce.
