  • 1 lb Ground Sausage can be swapped for turkey sausage or left out for a vegetarian option
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese consider Neufchâtel for a lighter touch
  • 1 cup Sour Cream Greek yogurt works as a substitute
  • 1 cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 can Rotel (Diced Tomatoes with Green Chilies) make sure to drain well
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper optional, adjust to taste
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper
For Garnish
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley or Green Onions

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions for Hissy Fit Dip
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground sausage and cook for about 6-8 minutes until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
  4. Fold in the cooked sausage, shredded sharp cheddar, shredded mozzarella, and drained Rotel into the cheese mixture.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and smooth the top. Sprinkle additional mozzarella on top if desired.
  6. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  7. Let the dip cool for about 5 minutes, then garnish with parsley or green onions and serve warm.
