- Cool the mixture, then combine with powdered sugar and beat until fluffy.
Assembling the Cake
- Place one cake layer on a serving plate, spread frosting on top, and place the second layer.
- Frost the top and sides of the cake and smooth using a spatula.
- Slice and serve the cake with fresh berries or vanilla ice cream.
