Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish with grease or parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vegetable oil or melted butter until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, mix together all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt until well blended.
- Gently fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until no dry flour remains. The batter should be thick and slightly lumpy.
- Stir in the chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
- Pour and spread the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
Ensure not to overmix the batter for a tender crumb. Room temperature eggs and properly measured flour will enhance the result.
