  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Softened; full-fat is best.
  • 1/2 cup Sugar Adjust to taste.
  • 8 oz Whipped Topping Thawed; Cool Whip is ideal.
For the Jello Layer
  • 1 package Strawberry Jello 6 oz package.
  • 2 cups Boiling Water Activates the jello powder.
For the Topping
  • 1 lb Strawberries, sliced Fresh is best; drain if using frozen.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, combine strawberry jello with boiling water, stirring until dissolved. Cool to room temperature.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan. Mix crushed pretzels and sugar in a bowl, pour in melted butter, and press into a 9x13-inch baking pan. Bake for 10 minutes until golden and cool completely.
  3. In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese and sugar, beat until smooth. Fold in whipped topping and spread over cooled crust.
  4. Stir sliced strawberries into cooled jello, then pour over cream cheese layer. Cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours until set.
  5. Serve chilled, sliced into squares or scooped into cups for presentation.
