Method
 

Preparation

  3. Combine butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring until it boils, then simmer for 3 minutes.
  4. Pour the toffee mixture over the arranged crackers and bake for 5 minutes until bubbly.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee and let them melt for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Spread the melted chocolate evenly using an offset spatula and add optional toppings if desired.
  7. Cool at room temperature for about an hour or refrigerate for 20-30 minutes to set.
  8. Once set, cut into squares or rectangles and serve.
