Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Marinate the sea bass fillet on both sides with salt and pepper. Allow it to marinate for about 15 minutes at room temperature.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add cooking oil until shimmering, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the marinated sea bass to the hot skillet and fry undisturbed for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until fully cooked.
  4. In the same skillet, lower heat slightly and sauté minced ginger and garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add chopped green onions and cook for an additional 30 seconds until they soften.
  6. Return the fried sea bass to the skillet, drizzle in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and granulated sugar. Toss everything together for about 1-2 minutes.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed with more salt or pepper.
  8. Serve hot, paired with steamed rice or choice of side dishes.
