  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda Ensure it's fresh.

For the Salted Maple Glaze
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar Essential for sweetness.
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup Can substitute with honey or agave syrup.
  • a few tablespoons Additional Brown Butter Ensure it's a bit cooled.
  • a pinch Salt Brings contrast to the sweetness.

Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan by greasing it or lining with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over medium heat until golden amber and fragrant. Set aside to cool.
  3. Whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tsp of baking soda, 1 tsp of baking powder, and spices in a bowl.
  4. In another bowl, combine 1 cup of pumpkin puree, 1 cup of brown sugar, and 2 large eggs until smooth. Add cooled brown butter.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. For the glaze, whisk together 1 cup of powdered sugar, 1/4 cup of maple syrup, and a few tablespoons of brown butter. Add a pinch of salt.
  9. Once cooled, drizzle the glaze over the bread.
