Baking Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan by greasing it or lining with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over medium heat until golden amber and fragrant. Set aside to cool.
- Whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tsp of baking soda, 1 tsp of baking powder, and spices in a bowl.
- In another bowl, combine 1 cup of pumpkin puree, 1 cup of brown sugar, and 2 large eggs until smooth. Add cooled brown butter.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the glaze, whisk together 1 cup of powdered sugar, 1/4 cup of maple syrup, and a few tablespoons of brown butter. Add a pinch of salt.
- Once cooled, drizzle the glaze over the bread.
