Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, grated onion, egg, panko breadcrumbs (or chickpea flour), cilantro, mint, ginger garlic paste, and spices. Mix thoroughly.
- Shape into 16 smooth koftas and place on a lined baking sheet. Preheat broiler to high and broil koftas for 3-5 minutes on each side until browned.
- In a deep pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Stir in ginger garlic paste and cook for an additional minute, then add ground spices.
- Mix in chopped tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes. Stir in whipped yogurt, fenugreek leaves, and enough water to reach desired consistency. Simmer for 20 minutes.
- Gently add broiled koftas to the sauce, coating evenly. Cook for another 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro and a drizzle of heavy cream if desired.

Notes
For best results, check broiling time carefully to prevent drying out. Adjust red pepper flakes according to spice tolerance.
