Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Bacon and Cheddar Quiche
  1. Cook the bacon: Fry six strips of bacon in a skillet over medium heat for about 8-10 minutes until crispy. Transfer to paper towels, drain excess grease, and crumble into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Pre-bake the crust: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Blind bake the pie crust for 10-12 minutes, then continue baking for 5-7 minutes until lightly golden. Set aside to cool.
  3. Prepare the filling: In the pre-baked crust, evenly distribute crumbled bacon, cheddar cheese, and chopped spinach.
  4. Mix custard: Whisk together eggs, half and half, salt, and pepper in a large bowl until pale and frothy. Optionally fold in hollandaise sauce.
  5. Pour and bake: Reduce oven temperature to 375°F (190°C). Pour the custard over the filling and bake for 35-45 minutes until edges are set.
  6. Rest and serve: Let quiche rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
