Ingredients
  

For the Soup Base
  • 2 tbsp Gochugaru Adjust for spice tolerance
  • 3 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Sugar Adjust to taste
  • 2 tbsp Neutral Cooking Oil e.g., avocado, sunflower
For the Sauces
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce Add to preference
  • 1 tbsp Dark Mushroom Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Chinese Black Vinegar Key for tang
  • 1 tsp Ground White Pepper
For the Dumplings and Noodles
  • 6-8 pieces Frozen Dumplings Vegetable dumplings for vegan option
  • 60 g Wheat Noodles Can substitute with favorite noodles
For the Finish
  • 1-1.5 cups Hot Water Adjust based on desired thickness
  • 2 tsp Sesame Oil For flavor richness
  • Toppings Chopped green onions, coriander, crispy fried shallots

Method
 

Soup Preparation
  1. Combine gochugaru, minced garlic, and sugar in a bowl. Heat neutral cooking oil in a small pot over medium heat and pour it over the mixture.
  2. Add soy sauce, dark soy sauce, Chinese black vinegar, and ground white pepper. Mix well.
Cooking Dumplings and Noodles
  1. Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil. Add frozen dumplings and cook for 5-7 minutes until they float.
  2. Remove dumplings with a slotted spoon and set aside. In the same pot, add wheat noodles and cook for 3-5 minutes until al dente.
  3. Drain noodles and set aside.
Combine and Serve
  1. Stir in 1 to 1.5 cups of hot water to the soup base. Combine with dumplings and noodles.
  2. Drizzle in sesame oil and allow to simmer for a minute.
  3. Serve garnished with toppings and enjoy hot.
