Step-by-Step Instructions
- Start by melting 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Once melted, add the chopped pecans, stirring frequently for about 5 minutes until browned.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In the same skillet, melt 1 stick of butter over low heat and let it cool.
- Whisk in 1 cup of packed light brown sugar, then add in 1 large egg.
- Gradually fold in 1 cup of all-purpose flour, ½ teaspoon of baking powder, and ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
- Finally, mix in the cooled pecans, ½ cup of toffee bits, and ¾ cup of white chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Once baked, cool for at least 20 minutes before lifting out and cutting into squares.
