  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry Thawed, store-bought
  • 1 large Egg For egg wash
For the Filling
  • 1/2 cup Fig Preserves Can substitute with apricot preserves
  • 4 oz Goat Cheese Can substitute with brie or cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp Light Brown Sugar Optional based on sweetness
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Thyme Can substitute with fresh rosemary

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C). Prepare parchment paper for the puff pastry.
  2. Unroll the thawed puff pastry onto the prepared parchment paper, spreading fig preserves evenly across, leaving a 1-inch perimeter.
  3. Crumble goat cheese over the fig preserves, then sprinkle with brown sugar and thyme.
  4. Roll the puff pastry tightly, pinch edges to seal, and chill in the freezer for 20 minutes.
  5. Slice the chilled roll into ½ inch pinwheels, wiping the knife between cuts.
  6. Place pinwheels on a lined baking sheet and brush tops with egg wash.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and flaky.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with extra brown sugar and thyme.
