Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Cook 1 pound of lean ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease.
  3. Stir in 1 ounce of taco seasoning and 1/2 cup of water. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
  4. Prepare a 9-inch deep dish pie shell with cooking spray and place it in the baking dish.
  5. Spread 1.5 cups of crushed Doritos evenly across the bottom of the pie shell.
  6. Mix 1/2 cup of chunky salsa and 1/2 cup of ranch dressing into the beef mixture. Simmer for another 3-5 minutes.
  7. Fold in 1/2 cup of chopped green onions into the beef mixture. Pour over Doritos in the pie shell.
  8. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded Mexican cheese blend over the top.
  9. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove and add remaining crushed Doritos with 1/4 cup melted butter on top. Loosely cover with foil.

  11. Let the pie rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
