- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Cook 1 pound of lean ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in 1 ounce of taco seasoning and 1/2 cup of water. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
- Prepare a 9-inch deep dish pie shell with cooking spray and place it in the baking dish.
- Spread 1.5 cups of crushed Doritos evenly across the bottom of the pie shell.
- Mix 1/2 cup of chunky salsa and 1/2 cup of ranch dressing into the beef mixture. Simmer for another 3-5 minutes.
- Fold in 1/2 cup of chopped green onions into the beef mixture. Pour over Doritos in the pie shell.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded Mexican cheese blend over the top.
- Bake for 10 minutes. Remove and add remaining crushed Doritos with 1/4 cup melted butter on top. Loosely cover with foil.
- Bake for an additional 6-10 minutes until golden and bubbly.
