Baking Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch round or square pan.
- Wash, peel, and chop the apples into small pieces, then pat dry with a paper towel.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well, then stir in the sour cream until smooth.
- Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture, then fold in the prepared apples.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
