Step-by-Step Instructions for Ham and Cheese Pinwheels
  1. Roll out your thawed puff pastry into a 10x12-inch rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
  2. Spread approximately 1.5 tablespoons of Dijon mustard uniformly over the pastry, leaving about a 0.5-inch border around the edges.
  3. Evenly layer 6 slices of deli ham over the mustard, followed by 1 cup of Gruyère or sharp cheddar cheese.
  4. Carefully roll the puff pastry from one of the long edges into a tight log.
  5. Wrap the rolled pastry log tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 20 minutes.
  6. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) while your pinwheel logs chill.
  7. Remove one log from the refrigerator and slice it into 0.5-inch thick rounds.
  8. Place the baking sheets in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 18 minutes.
  9. Once baked, sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top for garnish.
