  • 1 cup Vinegar Cane vinegar is ideal.
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch Dissolve in water before use.
  • 2 tablespoons Ketchup Optional.
For the Vegetables
  • 1 cup Red Bell Pepper Chopped.
  • 1 cup Green Bell Pepper Chopped.
  • 1 cup Carrots Sliced thinly.
  • 1 inch Ginger Fresh, minced.
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the fish by cleaning the whole tilapia, patting it dry, and seasoning with salt. Fry in hot oil for 6-8 minutes on each side until crispy.
  2. Sauté garlic, ginger, and onion in oil in a saucepan over medium heat for about 3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add sliced carrots and bell peppers to the saucepan and sauté for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Mix vinegar and dissolved cornstarch into the vegetables, add sugar and optional ketchup, then simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Serve fried fish on a platter, pouring the sweet and sour sauce with vegetables over the top.
