  • 1 cup Hemp Protein Powder can substitute with pumpkin seed protein at a 1:1 ratio
  • 1/2 cup Maple Syrup honey or agave syrup can be used
  • 2 large Eggs no tested replacements
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder ensure it's fresh
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt kosher or sea salt recommended
  • 3/4 cup Cocoa Powder ensure it's unsweetened
For the Optional Glaze
  • 1 cup Dark Chocolate melt with coconut oil for glazing

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine almond flour, hemp protein powder, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and maple syrup until smooth.
  4. Fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each mold three-quarters full.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then transfer to a wire rack.
  8. If using a glaze, melt dark chocolate with coconut oil and drizzle over the cooled donuts.
