Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray, and line it with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and ½ teaspoon of salt.
- In a large bowl, melt ½ cup of unsalted butter and mix with ¼ cup of vegetable oil. Add ¾ cup of granulated sugar, 2 eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
- Incorporate 1½ cups of mashed ripe bananas into the wet mixture and stir gently until just combined.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet banana mixture using a spatula until just combined.
- Fold in 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips gently into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
