- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) or your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Grate the zucchini using a box grater and squeeze out excess moisture with a clean kitchen towel.
- Combine the drained zucchini with breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, egg, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
- Shape the mixture into small balls or patties, about the size of a golf ball.
- Lightly spray the tops of the zucchini balls with cooking spray and arrange them in the air fryer or on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, or air fry for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway.
