  • 1 cup Cooked Shrimp Fresh or fully thawed frozen
  • 1 cup Cooked Crab Meat Fresh is best, frozen can work
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack Cheese Substitute with pepper jack for spice
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese Softened for easier mixing
  • 1 cup Queso Dip Mild or spicy depending on preference
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Cilantro Optional but highly recommended
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Can substitute with fresh minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
Taquito Ingredients
  • 8 units Flour Tortillas Opt for smaller for perfect shape
  • 2-3 tablespoons Butter or Oil Essential for frying
Optional Toppings
  • 1 cup Warm Queso Dip Drizzle over taquitos before serving
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Cilantro For garnishing

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked shrimp, crab meat, Monterey Jack cheese, cream cheese, queso dip, cilantro, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Mix until creamy.
  2. Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the crab and shrimp filling into the center of a flour tortilla. Roll tightly and secure with a toothpick.
  3. Heat 2-3 tablespoons of butter or oil in a large skillet over medium heat until hot.
  4. Carefully place the taquitos seam-side down in the skillet, frying for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Remove the taquitos and drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Drizzle warm queso dip over and garnish with cilantro.
