  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs For an extra crispy finish.
For Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to your taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper Adjust to your taste.
For Frying
  • 1 tablespoon Oil For frying.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice fresh celery stalks into 1.5 cm thick rounds.
  2. Blanch the celery in boiling salted water for 10 minutes until tender.
  3. Pat dry the blanched celery and dust with flour.
  4. Dip each flour-dusted celery slice into beaten egg.
  5. Press the egg-coated celery slices into panko breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat oil and butter in a frying pan.
  7. Fry each celery slice for about 5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the pan and season with salt and pepper.
