  • 1 can Albacore Tuna Drained and flaked
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise Substitute with Greek yogurt or sour cream if desired
  • 1 tablespoon Cilantro Optional
  • 1 lime Lime Juice to enhance flavor
For the Avocado Layer
  • 1 Avocado Ripe for best texture
  • to taste Salt Adjust to preference
For the Topping
  • 1 cup Pico de Gallo Store-bought or homemade

Method
 

Step 1: Prepare the Tuna Mixture
  1. Drain the albacore tuna thoroughly to remove excess liquid, then flake it into a mixing bowl using a fork. Add mayonnaise, chopped cilantro (if using), and the juice of half a lime. Season with salt to taste and blend gently.
Step 2: Prepare the Avocado Layer
  1. Slice the ripe avocado in half, removing the pit and peeling off the skin. In a separate bowl, add the avocado flesh and squeeze the juice of the remaining lime over it. Lightly mash with a fork, leaving some chunks.
Step 3: Layer the Ingredients
  1. In a serving plate, add half of the mashed avocado, followed by half of the tuna mixture. Top with pico de gallo, then repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
Step 4: Serve and Enjoy
  1. Garnish with additional cilantro or lime wedges if desired. Serve immediately for best flavor.
