Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat, add chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  2. Add ground beef, breaking it up, and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned; drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add uncooked rice, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; stir well to combine.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until rice is tender.
  6. In a separate saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over low heat, whisk in milk, then add Parmesan and cheddar until melted.
  7. Pour cheese sauce over beef and rice mixture, stir until well blended and heated through.
  8. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
