Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, beaten eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer the mixed meatloaf mixture into your prepared dish and shape it into a loaf.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and the top is golden brown.
- While baking, melt unsalted butter in a skillet and sauté the fresh mushrooms for 5–7 minutes until golden brown.
- Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir for 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in beef broth and heavy cream, stirring until thickened.
- Once baked, let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
