Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  2. Stir in chopped sweet onion and diced orange bell pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes until vegetables soften.
  3. Add minced garlic cloves and cook for another minute, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
  4. Pour in fire-roasted diced tomatoes, smoked paprika, dried oregano, garlic powder, and onion powder. Season with salt and pepper, and let simmer for 4-5 minutes.
  5. Add chopped green cabbage and fold it into the meat mixture. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top. Cover and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
