Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Combine 1 cup of milk with 1 tablespoon of vinegar in a bowl. Allow the mixture to sit for about 5 minutes until it thickens.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup of flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Add your buttermilk to the dry ingredients along with 1 egg and 2 tablespoons of melted butter. Stir gently.
  4. In a small bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of melted butter, ¼ cup of brown sugar, 2 teaspoons of cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon of flour.
