Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of pitted cherries, ½ cup of water, and ½ cup of sugar or monk fruit. Heat the mixture over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally until it reaches a simmer. Allow it to cook for about 5 minutes or until the syrup thickens.
  2. Remove it from heat and strain it through a fine-mesh strainer into a bowl or jar, pressing gently to extract all the delicious liquid. Discard the solids and let the syrup cool to room temperature.
  3. Fill a large glass with ice. Pour a few tablespoons of your homemade cherry syrup over the ice, allowing the rich color to cascade down.
  4. In a separate container, froth together ½ cup of vanilla almond milk and 2 tablespoons of vanilla almond creamer until creamy and airy.
  5. Brew a fresh cup of coffee to your desired strength and temperature. Pour the hot coffee gently over the ice and cherry syrup mixture.
