- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and cut into 30 equal squares.
- Slice mozzarella cheese sticks into 30 bite-sized pieces and place one on each dough square.
- Fold edges of dough over cheese and roll into tight balls.
- Arrange dough balls on the baking sheet in the shape of a Christmas tree.
- Whisk together egg and water to create egg wash, then brush over the dough balls.
- Bake for 16-18 minutes until golden brown.
- Melt butter and mix with half of the grated parmesan, garlic, and chopped herbs.
- Brush herb butter mixture over baked bread and sprinkle remaining parmesan on top.
- Serve warm with marinara or pesto sauce for dipping.
