Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of warm milk, 2 ¼ teaspoons of active dry yeast, and ¼ cup of sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add 4 tablespoons of melted butter, 2 eggs, and 4 cups of flour. Gradually mix in 1 teaspoon of salt and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it. Let rise in a warm place for 1 to 2 hours until doubled in size.
  4. Mix together ½ cup of sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon. Roll the dough into a rectangle, spread with melted butter, sprinkle cinnamon-sugar, and add 1 cup of chopped pecans.
  5. Roll the dough into a log and cut into 12 equal pieces. Place cut-side up in a greased baking dish.
  6. In a saucepan, melt ½ cup of butter with 1 cup of brown sugar and 1 cup of pecans until smooth. Pour over the buns in the baking dish.
  7. Cover the rolls and let rise again for 30-45 minutes until puffed.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
