Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  2. Cook the breakfast sausages in a skillet over medium heat until browned, about 8-10 minutes, then slice them into bite-sized rounds.
  3. Cut a deep 'V' into the top of the baguette to hollow it out, then brush the inside with melted butter.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs and milk until combined, then stir in cheeses, scallions, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour the egg mixture into the hollowed baguette and evenly sprinkle the sausage rounds on top.
  6. Bake the assembled Baked Egg Boats for 30-35 minutes or until the eggs are set and the top is golden.
  7. Let them rest for 5-10 minutes, then cut into portions and serve warm.
