Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Peel and dice the russet potatoes and cook in salted water for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender.
  3. Mash the cooked potatoes with butter, sour cream, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. In a skillet, cook chopped bacon until crispy, then add breakfast sausage, onion, and garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  5. Mix bacon, sausage, and breadcrumbs together in a bowl.
  6. Layer half of the mashed potatoes in a greased loaf pan, add the filling, and top with remaining mashed potatoes.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown on top.
  8. Let the loaf cool for 5 minutes, garnish with parsley and green onions, then serve hot.
