Ingredients
  

For the Garlic Yogurt
  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt opt for dairy-free for lighter version
  • 2 cloves Garlic fresh preferred
  • 0.5 tablespoon Lemon Juice preferably fresh
For the Spiced Beef
  • 1 pound Ground Beef can be swapped with turkey or lamb
  • 1 medium Yellow Onion diced
  • 1 tablespoon Sweet Paprika smoked for a kick
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder substitutable with fresh garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin for an earthy flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste or crushed tomatoes for a saucier version
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 4 tablespoons Butter or olive oil
For Final Touches
  • 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes halved
  • 0.5 cup Fresh Parsley chopped
  • 0.5 cup Feta Cheese crumbled, omit for dairy-free
  • 4 cups Cooked Pasta fusilli or penne, gluten-free alternative available

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of Greek yogurt, 2 cloves of grated garlic, the juice of half a lemon, and a pinch of salt. Mix until smooth and set aside.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 diced yellow onion. Sauté for about 5 minutes until soft. Stir in 1 tablespoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon of cumin, cook for 1 minute. Add 1 pound of ground beef, break apart and cook until browned, then season with salt, pepper and 2 tablespoons of tomato paste.
  3. Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over low heat for 2-3 minutes. Sprinkle in 1 tablespoon of paprika and swirl to bubble. Remove from heat to let flavor develop.
  4. Combine cooked pasta with the spiced beef mixture in a large bowl, tossing for 2 minutes to coat evenly.
  5. Plate the pasta, dollop garlic yogurt on top, drizzle with paprika butter, and garnish with cherry tomatoes, feta, and parsley.
